Foam Block Pre-Filters are attached to the inlet of your Reefe Pond Pump. Many feature pumps come with a small cage and sponge over the front of the pump. These small sponges are designed not to filter your water, but to protect the impeller of the pump from debris. If you remove the small cage and sponge from these pumps you will find a thread, usually female and you can then attach a large foam block pre-filter. This will help to clean your water while protecting your pump at the same time
